What is a VX?
VX is the VisionX production credit — 1 VX is $0.10 list. Every generation is priced in VX before you run it: a standard 720p 5-second video is 8.5 VX, and an image on the core Seedream engines is a flat 1 VX (guest image engines like GPT Image and FLUX.2 price per output and reference). You always see the exact cost next to the Generate button.
Does my monthly VX allowance roll over?
No. The monthly plan allowance resets to a fresh grant at the start of each billing cycle, and unspent plan VX is forfeited. Purchased top-up VX is separate — it stays available for 180 days from purchase and is spent only after your plan allowance.
Do purchased top-ups expire?
Self-serve top-ups are valid for 180 days from purchase. Your plan allowance is always spent first, so top-ups only start burning after the monthly grant runs out.
How is overflow (top-up) pricing set?
Overflow pricing is keyed to your plan: Creator tops up at $0.11/VX, Studio at $0.095/VX, and Studio Scale at $0.085/VX — the cost floor. The rate falls as the plan scales, so a consistently heavy month is a reason to upgrade, not a surcharge.
Which engines do I get on each plan?
Every plan runs the four core VX video tiers and the Seedream image tiers. Guest engines — Sora, Veo, Kling, Grok, GPT Image, Nano Banana, FLUX.2 — join the same roster, wallet, and Cast; during the current open-access period the full roster is unlocked on every paid plan, and on the standard ladder the premium guest routes unlock as the plan scales.
What does the free trial include?
The trial grants 100 VX once — enough for roughly 11 standard videos or 100 images — with no card required. It is a one-time grant rather than a monthly allowance.
What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Key. If you already hold a BytePlus contract, you pay a flat $299/mo platform fee and your generation volume runs on your own key at your negotiated rates.
